2nd Philippine International Pyromusical Competition || 03.12.2011

The pyromusical have been a most awaited event for many, especially the avid fans of fireworks and photographers who wishes to experience and capture the colorful lights of the fireworks.

Scheduled every Saturdays starting February 12, it finally ended yesterday, March 12, 2011 with a jam-packed full MOA. Even the streets are filled with viewers waiting for the strike of the final competitor, Australia, as well as the finale performance of the Philippines.

Before anything else, I'd like to congratulate China for wining the 2nd Philippine international pyromusical competition with a score of 97.3, followed by United Kingdom with a score of 96.5, and Japan with a score of 92.something (sorry, didn't quite hear this part).
(Trivia: Last Years Grand Champion was UK.)

Last night's finale was truly awesome. Using the musical scores of Shakira (Waka waka), Bruno Mars (just the way you are), Katy Perry (firework) and Rihanna (love the way you lie pt. 2) the audience were WOWed. With special attention to the song of Katy where the fireworks show was rightfully fitting her song.

I also feel that the song is a perfect fit especially with what is happening in our country. I hope people see this as an inspiration.

"do you know that there's still a chance for you, cause there's a spark in you, you just got to ignite the light, and let it shine..... Cause (baby) you're a firework, come and show 'em what your worth..."

Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz chanted “There’s no place like home” three times to be transported back to her aunt’s house. Dr. Carlo and Carlota Magno found their home, not in Kansas, but in Cavite – Avida Settings, Cavite to be exact.

Shakabuku- A Spiritual Kick To A New Self!

“Shakabuku.” It means a swift spiritual kick to the head that changes everything.

Have you ever just heard yourself give up? Ever felt just stuck? A lot of people our age have reposted that “Quarter-age Crisis” blog post. Well guess what --- it can’t possibly be true for everyone. It’s just easier to accept facts that are true now, like the helplessness, but not the discomfort that a little change might bring.

Not that bringing in a change will always be horrible. It takes 12 tastes of new food before your brain registers the taste as “ok,” much in the same way that habit forms after 21 repetitions. So how could a young 20-something do some change?

1. Know Your Goal – Before you start any endeavor, you have to know your goal --- you have to know what you want to become. Pick a change that you genuinely want for yourself. When you try on a new hobby that you don’t feel good about, it shows --- much is the same with personal change. 2. Become Behaviorally Flexible - It usually takes 12 samplings of a new flavor before it starts registering in our brain if its good (gives pleasure) or bad (repels the tongue!) for us. Keep at it! Know when you have to stop or keep a certain approach, and then alter your behavior accordingly.

3. Commit! – Would you rather be open to change or be uncomfortable? Anxiety when trying out something only tells us that we’re doing something new, and it would take the body a while to adjust for that action. Power through and you’ll find that confusion precedes understanding.

4. Learn From Everything – “There are no mistakes, only feedback,” as one of my mentors once told me. Mistakes are for mapping out things that you’ll be avoiding for the next time.

5. Track Your Change! – Keeping a journal of the change from average everyday-you to becoming that Travel Savvy girl, Beach Babe, or Corporate Catch helps you keep a measure of what exactly is new with you. Finding a job in the Philippines the "easiest" way

Financial crisis or not, Philippines or anywhere else in the world, finding a job is not easy. Finding a job THAT YOU LIKE is much more difficult!

While, finding a job is not easy and I am a testimony to that, to date, there are hundred of job hunting sites in the world and a couple here in the Philippines. A couple, meaning around 10 to 15, is actually still a lot and the worst part is, seeing duplicate posts and sending duplicate resumes.


How many of job seekers have wasted their precious time seeking for jobs online and to find out that:
1. They are not qualified

Good deal - photography gears in Manila

Guys!!! just want to share what i've found as i was roaming around Greenhills just to cool off in this HOT weather...

As I entered a shop named Pixel Pro on the 3rd floor , I was amazed with all the things they sell (I could say that it's a one stop shop for thoese who would like to start thier photography hobby.)

Regarding the Price... I say that its affordable, can't wait to purchase my First SLR!!!

It was also a coincidence that I attended their seminar last March 21,2009! how cool is that?!
